Dilinh is a type family for editorial design that brings together diverse styles into a cohesive and harmonious collection. The project is rooted in two key aspects: Linguistics consideration, where I explore the impact of language features on Vietnamese text and address the issue of excessive vertical strokes; and Handwriting aesthetic, where I aim to capture the expressiveness of stylistic Vietnamese handwriting to a digital format. Dilinh family comprises four distinct subfamilies: Script, Roman, Italic and Sans Serif. Each subfamily serves a unique purpose in enhancing the typographic experience: The Script brings a lively and stylish touch and featuring an unconventional approach to Vietnamese diacritics and ligatures. The Roman is designed to create a warm and cozy atmosphere to enhance reader experience, particularly for Vietnamese content. The Italic provides a complementary style for the Roman. The Sans Serif offers additional typographic choices with distinct voice.
